Zaman International empowers marginalized women to break the cycle of poverty and achieve independence through vocational skills training and sustainable employment. Many of the women Zaman serves are raising families of two or more children while trying to survive on $12,000 or less annually.

Founded in 2018, Rising Hope Bakery employs women who have graduated from Zaman’s workforce development programming and are in the beginning stages of transitioning from instability to stability to sustainability. 

Rising Hope Bakery is a safe space that pays graduates livable wages while allowing them to comfortably adjust to the working culture while gaining on-the-job experience in an industrial bakery setting designed to help them eventually gain outside employment.
